Images
Media in your documents
Images can be added to your templates using the image element. You can upload images from your computer. You can also use variables to dynamically change the image based on the data you provide.
Please keep in mind that the images you upload are stored on our servers. We recommend that you only upload images that you have the rights to use. You do not need to compress your images before uploading, we automatically optimise images to improve the generation speed and reduce your final PDF size.
If you dynamically load images using the templated values instead of defining them statically, the image will be loaded from the URL provided in the data. This means that the image will be loaded from the URL provided in the data when the PDF is generated. PDFBlaze will optimise static images to drastically improve generation speeds, but cannot do the same if the image is loaded dynamically since it will have to be downloaded for every PDF generated.
If you have static images that are used in multiple places, we recommend uploading the static image instead of supplying a url at generation time.
The image tag gives you some control of the image scaling quality for uploaded images. You can choose between icon, small, medium and high quality. The quality setting only controls how strongly the image is compressed, for small images its recommended to use the icon or small quality setting, for larger images you can use the medium or high quality setting.
Image “Content” tab
The content panel allows you to set the static image source or templating. For static images you will be able to choose any of your previously uploaded sources. You can also upload any new image.
